I have the hardest time with stickers. I love my expression and I feel like I am crapping out or not doing a very good job when I use them. It could be the way I use them because I have seen other people use them beautifully.
Eyelets for sure!! I have an entire clear divided storage box FILLED to the brim with every color, size and shape you can imagine, but have yet to really use them for anything but the hole on a tag. :)
I agree with the loose glitter. I also have had some Flower Soft for months now and have never used it. Some ideas on what to use it on would be great!
Hi, new follower here. I have a hard time with the alcohol ink. I seen it thought it would be great and I have only used it one time to dye a piece of metal.
I have lots of transparency/clear plastic stuff I bought but haven't used because I'm not sure how to finish with it. I've seen lots of FRONTS of projects with it, but never backs or insides.
Following now!! I have the most difficult time using chipboard shapes in their raw form and stickers which I have an entire stash of but now feel as though it is outdated to use stickers.
Just signed up to follow your blog too. What a fab idea for a hop this is going to be a fun morning:) It's definetly glitter for me too, I've vials laying unopened, what a waste!! Anne x
Mine would probably be stickers too. I have tons of them, and I always go through them when I'm working on a page, but then I end up not using them. I can't seem to make them look right on my page!
I'm a newbie at crafting/scrapbooking/card making.. just started to actively craft this year..:) so since I'm still learning I guess most products are quite a challenge for me.. but I think the stamps I have is the one I'm having a hard time using.. I dunno if I just have the wrong color of inks.. or bad set of stamps.. I just can't seem to use them yet...:S
I'm already a follower, I think sticklers are the hardest for me, I have 2 bottles and I don't think I have used them more than once or twice. Thanks for the hop and the great prices. off to the next blog.
I love using glitter glue but when it comes to the loose glitter I tend to stay away from it. And I have tons of it!! I also have a hard time with distressing.
I am your follower for the long time and a participant too- all the times. The hardest product for me to use is ... eyelets.. As for all of us I think..
I am a new follower and I would have to say the product that I have the hardest time with is stickers also. They always look so plain and I don't like them once I have used them.
Foiled chipboard, I have several packages and never seem to incorporate it into my layouts. I've been following in my Google Reader for about 3 months now, love the blog.
Like so many others, my biggest challenge is loose glitter - I love it, have dozens of colours, but never seem to use it. The mess certainly acts as a deterent so I don't seem to pull it out unless I'm doing a lot of glittering (like on Christmas cards).
Hi, new follower, but a constant visitor! I have a hard time with rub-ons. I guess not all rub-ons are created equal because I have a really hard time with some brands that don't always adhere entirely or that move and shift- probably user error- not the brand! LOL!
eyelets are my enemy!!! i love them on other people's projects, but when i try apply them to my own, i don't like them! and they can be sooooo beautiful!!!! :(
I don't really know how this following thing works but I just joined. I have the hardest time using stickers. At this point, I don't even know why I ever bought any. http://22turtles.wordpress.com
Have you ever bought a pack of paper because you HAD to have a certain design that wasn't available individually? Then there's the rest of the paper you would NEVER have bought in a million years! That's me. But that's where a lot of challenges come in. I like bold colors, but challenges to use pastels or different color combinations get me to use stuff in my stash that otherwise would just sit there.
I just joined as a follower :) and following is my comment: What I most find hardest time to use... well.. it would be brads. I have bought so much of brads, of different sizes and shapes and colours coz they are just so cute.. but I find that brads usage are not as flexible as ribbons, blings and punches... though it add texture, many a times,I find that it doesnt give me the impact that I desire.
Stamps ! I think they are cute, but I have no luck with them at all. They always look as if a 5 year old did it. I even took one class on stamping, but I continue to just bumble and fumble. I did enter a challenge that required stamps, and it was just awful.
Glitter. I love glittery things - but have a hard time figuring out what to do with them since 95% of the cards I make are sent to Operation Write Home and we can't put glitter on the cards for them.
I am a new follower too, and I must say that for me the problem is with alcohol inks... I think I should give another try to it... maybe make some research looking for some tutorials because I just can't find the way to use them.
I bought oodles of mulberry paper because I was going to do SOOOOOOOOO many good things with them. NOT! I tried it and I stunk at it so there it sits - a pile of mulberry paper probably in every color possible!
Years back, stickers were about the only embellishment besides eyelets, ribbon and brads to work with, and I didn't really like them then. I like a more natural look when creating cards and I've given my sticker collection to my grandson to play with. I'm a follower and am so looking forward to some new inspiration and ideas. Thanks so much for the chance to win!
Mine has to be flock I bought them all because they looked gorgeous and reminded me of a sweetie shop but have tried to use them once and the finished item was awful.
My problem would be flocking. It's one of those things I knew I just HAD to have. I took a class on it and it seemed easy enough, even fun. I tried it at home and it just hasn't been as easy for me to be creative with it. I haven't used it in 8 months lol!
Loose glitter and glimmer mist. The glitter ends up all over me, my work desk and carpet but not where i want it on the layouts. Equally I find glimmer mist really frustrating to use...it either doesn't glimmer or makes the pages go really wrinkly and nasty to work with.
I am definitely going against the grain, I struggle with brads. I always feel like I have added them just to use them, I am not very good at grounding them & making them look like they belong!
I gotta say it has to be eyeletts. I have one of those Crop-o-dile thingies...had it over a year and I think it has come out of the box once....so much for me HAVING to have it!!
Ok for me it would have to be loose glitter, and flocking, the flocking especially, I just don't know how to use it properly I guess, cause have tried it a couple of times and didn't like the result so now it sits in the drawer forgotten about. I also have some Pearl X powders that I would like to use more if I knew how, at the time something I just had to have. Cindy
Definately Stickers, I love to buy them, esp the pretty ones with flowers and butterflies... but hardly ever use them. maybe becasue they are so flat... I don't know.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely glitter. I have tons of glitter, but hardly every use it. Stickles are easy, but my loose glitter I have a hard time with.

ReplyDeleteNo contest - non letter stickers!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the loose glitter. I also have had some Flower Soft for months now and have never used it. Some ideas on what to use it on would be great!
ReplyDeleteHow about odd punches. I have these leaf punches that i've used on one layout, and thats it.
ReplyDeleteHi, new follower here. I have a hard time with the alcohol ink. I seen it thought it would be great and I have only used it one time to dye a piece of metal.
ReplyDeleteThere are definitely a few I have a hard time using...loose glitter, flock, and alcohol inks are all at the top of the list.
ReplyDeleteFlocking - is hard for me - I bought some - but tried it once.

ReplyDeleteI have a hard time using ribbon. Have tons but not sure how to use it. Following now.
ReplyDeleteAlready a follower. I have a hard time with glitter, flock, embossing powder, rub-ons.

ReplyDeleteI have a really hard time with ribbon - I add it, think it looks bad and generally take it off again
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time using up my sticker stash because use my Cricut all the time on layouts - poor stickers, it's not their fault. ;)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely stickers! (seems to be a theme here) I also have a hard time with how to use large embellishments.
ReplyDeleteLike so many others, my biggest challenge is loose glitter - I love it, have dozens of colours, but never seem to use it. The mess certainly acts as a deterent so I don't seem to pull it out unless I'm doing a lot of glittering (like on Christmas cards).

ReplyDeleteI'd have to say stickers. I've never been really good at finding interesting ways to use them.
ReplyDeleteShar
I did this one and 4 other.
ReplyDeletehttp://itsmylifeandimscrappingit.blogspot.com/2010/04/some-challenges-for-blog-hop.html still have 2 more to finish.
Glitter. I love glittery things - but have a hard time figuring out what to do with them since 95% of the cards I make are sent to Operation Write Home and we can't put glitter on the cards for them.
ReplyDeleteLoose glitter, it gets everywhere and I don't really know the best way to use it. I am a new follower.
ReplyDeleteMine would be embossing powder - I always end up with a big mess instead of a pretty creation.
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower too, and I must say that for me the problem is with alcohol inks... I think I should give another try to it... maybe make some research looking for some tutorials because I just can't find the way to use them.
ReplyDeleteLetters!! I just can't think of many creative ways to use letters!
ReplyDeleteI bought oodles of mulberry paper because I was going to do SOOOOOOOOO many good things with them. NOT! I tried it and I stunk at it so there it sits - a pile of mulberry paper probably in every color possible!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say ugly paper .. the kind that always seems to come with collection packs where you love most of it but the rest .... gag!
ReplyDeleteNew follower.....my problem is piercing....can't seem to get it straight or follower the line....help....
ReplyDeleteRUB-ONS! among other things! I just don't know where to place them or how to get them to come off easily.
ReplyDeleteSTICKERS are hard for me to use! Thanks for the chance to win. I have become a follower!

ReplyDeleteIt has to be stickers. I have so many that are so old that just don't fit my style anymore!
ReplyDeleteMine has to be flock I bought them all because they looked gorgeous and reminded me of a sweetie shop but have tried to use them once and the finished item was awful.

I have trouble using my pop dots. I just don't think about it I guess.
ReplyDeleteI think i would have to say glitter.. i agree with Denise that stickles is easy but glitter i just can't seem to get even..
ReplyDeleteMy problem would be flocking. It's one of those things I knew I just HAD to have. I took a class on it and it seemed easy enough, even fun. I tried it at home and it just hasn't been as easy for me to be creative with it. I haven't used it in 8 months lol!
ReplyDeleteI amost never use letter stickers. Just don't seem to find a use for them.
ReplyDeleteLoose glitter and glimmer mist. The glitter ends up all over me, my work desk and carpet but not where i want it on the layouts. Equally I find glimmer mist really frustrating to use...it either doesn't glimmer or makes the pages go really wrinkly and nasty to work with.
ReplyDeleteI'd say stickers and glimmer mist. Stickers seldom seem of good quality and glimmer mist is always so light it just doesn't show up!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going against the grain, I struggle with brads. I always feel like I have added them just to use them, I am not very good at grounding them & making them look like they belong!
ReplyDeleteflocking is hard, I actually used it on my whisper layout, but felt like it didn't look right.
ReplyDeleteI have the most trouble with inks.. sometimes I just can't seem to get it right.
ReplyDeleteAlphabet stickers, I really don't know what to do with all the leftover letters once all the vowels are gone. :)
ReplyDeleteI gotta say it has to be eyeletts. I have one of those Crop-o-dile thingies...had it over a year and I think it has come out of the box once....so much for me HAVING to have it!!
ReplyDeleteI have many tranparencies collecting dust... love the final look when I do use them, I just need a little prodding to get them out!!
ReplyDeleteBarb :)
I have the hardest time using my stickers and rub ons...
ReplyDeleteMy biggest problem is rub-ons. I can never get them to go on neatly without either tearing them or rubbing to hard. :o)
ReplyDeleteOk for me it would have to be loose glitter, and flocking, the flocking especially, I just don't know how to use it properly I guess, cause have tried it a couple of times and didn't like the result so now it sits in the drawer forgotten about. I also have some Pearl X powders that I would like to use more if I knew how, at the time something I just had to have.

New follower here! :)
ReplyDeleteI think some stickers, and some punches offer some resistance when I try to find a new way to use them.
Susan
Definately Stickers, I love to buy them, esp the pretty ones with flowers and butterflies... but hardly ever use them. maybe becasue they are so flat... I don't know.
ReplyDeleteI just started following last night...Eyelets! I love them but they are a challenge for me!
ReplyDeleteI've been a follower... I have a brand new Zutter machine sitting in it's original box... it's been that way since I bought it six months ago!!
