Washi Tape Tutorial

Washi tape is all the rage to collect, but doesn't make it onto projects often enough. Here's a quick technique that will get that washi out of your stash and onto your work table.
Step 1: Choose two or three simple, open-design stamps.
Step 2: Stamp and then emboss them onto cardstock.
Step 3: Using a craft knife cut out the center of the design. For better control of the knife begin the cut on the edge of the design and cut towards the center.
Step 4: Ink around the cut edges of your image and re-emboss.
Step 5: Lightly trace the cut outs onto a second piece of cardstock,
approximately the same size as the first.

Step 6: Place washi tape over the corresponding areas on the second cardstock, trim excess.
Step7: Add gems, twine, or googly eyes to embellish cut outs.
Step 8: Adhere embossed cardstock to taped cardstock.
Step 9: Add sentiment and trim to card front.
Step 10: Send a little bit of whimsy to someone you love.

Hope this tutorial has started the creative juices flowing.
