This Week's Challenge is Embossing

This has to be one of my favorite challenges! As a die hard Cuttlebug fan, there are very few projects I create without using some kind of embossing on my projects. As I searched for some information on introducing the embossing challenge, here's what I came up with for everyone. There are two basic types of embossing used in scrapbooking:
1.) Heat Embossing- which requires the use those stamps, inks, embossing powders and applying a heat source to it.
2.) Dry Embossing- which requires an embossing tool to push the design into your paper, cardstock, foil or vellum to create the raised effect (examples using a stylus, light box, and stencil; Cuttlebug; texture plates).

Maybe use one of these techniques or maybe you don't. But remember there are always papers out there already embossed; we all have credit cards offers with those "you name here" that are embossed. Or maybe, your husband has some office letterhead or you found a book written in brail that could be used as some background paper. Remember think "practical"!

Our sponsor for this month is Digi Doodle and throughout the month you will get to check out our designers making use of some of their adorable digis! The Grand Prize Winner each week will get their choice of three digis from there!

Deadline for the entry this week is Saturday July 17,2010 @ 5:00pm EST

I don't have any cool embossing tools, so I chose to go with embossed patterned paper. Thanks for the challenge!
