Christmas Decor and Ornaments Showcase

It's time to deck the halls, rooms, and trees with your festive holiday decor. I love holiday decorations, but every time I go to a store I look at the price tag cannot believe what they are charging for decorations these days. Why not use that craftiness and create some of your own like these...

Here in this first picture are some glass votive candle holders Corrina got for 50 cents at Goodwill. They already had the candles that have silver diamond-shaped studs in them, so she added different types of silver ribbons to them. She then used black rub-ons to spell out FAITH, PEACE, LOVE, JOY, HOPE, and NOEL onto the glass.
This second picture is a gift Corinna made for the mail lady. She bought a nice jar candle in a scent she likes. She then applied a swirly white rub-on directly onto the glass, tied a cute ribbon around the top, and there you have it!

Brenda used a clear acrylic frame as the base for this Christmas collage. She covered the base with white cardstock, then added different sized squares and rectangles of patterned paper, along with a few cardstock stickers, rubons, and other embellishments. The final touch was a bow and bells in the corner.

Tammy
Tammy created these two beautiful ornaments using chipboard, PK Glitz Glitter, acetate, crystal lacquer, ribbon, and some patter paper. Who doesn't love some "bling" on their Christmas tree? Check out Tammy's blog for the full instructions to create some of your own.

I have three projects here that I would like to share with all of you that I created. In the first picture I have a paper star ornaments that I learned two years ago from Cristal Hobbs, aka "Pinky". She has this great tutorial here if you want to give them a try. I make them every year now and just vary them up a little bit. This year I decided to add my Snowflake Pendant Shapeabilities die to the front of it.
The second picture is of a series of three ornaments/magnets I created using some acrylics blocks, cardstock, my Studio g acrylic stamps, versa mark pad, embossing powder, heat gun, glossy accents, and ribbon. I have a tutorial up on my blog on how to create these quick little ornaments!

Last, is a picture of two plaques I created using the 97 cent wooden plaques you can get at Wal-Mart, acrylic paint, wire, tulle, ribbon, pattern paper, SVG's I cut using my SCAL 2.0 on my cricut expressions, and Mod-Podge I used to adhere the paper to the wooden plaque. These only take about 40 minutes from start to finish to put together (including the drying time of the paint).

Hope you enjoyed our showcase of ornaments and decor. Please remember our current calls that are going on...We have projects with Christmas Trees due December 6th, and we are looking for projects with using Jillibean products due December 15th. Also, remember if you are submitting to more than one call to send each call in a separate email (multiple projects for the same call in an email is fine)!

Ladies, you have my respect, really. Fantastic job! Amazing ideas! I actually like handmade decor much better than than what we can find in shops. However, I just cannot seem to make my own decor look this good.
