'Tis the Season

It's December, which means Christmas card season is upon us! Many of you have been working feverishly to complete your cards, while the over-achievers completed them before anyone was even thinking about snow. ;) Whether you're sending out 80, or considering something special you can make for a select few - we have some Christmas cards to share with you. The variety is inspiring and the products diverse. We think everyone should be able to make a satisfying seasonal card and hope that these can help you see the possibilities!

Penny Used Joys of the Season Cricuts Cartridge to cut the ornaments. Martha Stewart punches for the snowflakes and the branches. Ribbon and stickles to make the ordinary, just a little bit extraordinary!

Amy's card starts off a selection of good, solid designs to share your Christmas cheer...

Smitha's card is great for a lot of reasons, but I thought that the concept could be adapted so many ways depending on what you have on hand. Plus - that's a zipper!

Amanda is using her Joys of the Season cart along with some fabulous patterns, reminding us that our color choices are not limited even on a Christmas card.

Amy's card is simple but sweet. She uses texture and layers and basic scrapbooking supplies to send Jolly Wishes.

Break out the glitter! The other thing that draws me to this card is the not-so-traditional composition that Tammy uses.



These cards have more of a vintage flair...

There are some great images available online and in kits that can add the perfect touch to your vintage season's greeting to get something like what Mieko has created.

Brenda used a Santa image from Pink Paislee's "Father Christmas" paper line for this vintage style Christmas card. She used red and crystal glitter pens to add a little sparkle to the image, then matted it with brown cardstock. The card front was covered with Basic Grey pp, and the sentiment is a sticker from Creative Imaginations.

Pia created her vintage christmas card with a free vintage image printed from http://www.art-e-zine.co.uk/vintageresources.html . The metal pieces in the bottom are painted with alco inks. The note papers are made with my crop-a-dile. Sentiment in English: "We wish you a Merry Christmas"

Beautiful cards for a beautiful season. I love Christmas cards -getting them, sending them, making them. Take a minute for yourself - and for someone else - and make a card. It's a perfect way to start our your December!
