1O Things You Can Do with Loose Glitter

Loose Glitter...dreaded words by many...but today we're here to share some fresh and new ideas with you. Check out these ten ideas from our current and past designers!

1. Create a shaker box using loose glitter
Practical Scrapper Kerri, practically famous for her shaker cards (:, used old plastic packaging to encase her digital image from one of our past sponsors Squigglefly and created a shaker card.

2. Use glitter to give a snow illusion to letters.
Practical Scrapper Christa cut her Snowy title with her Silhouette and used her Xyron Sticker Maker on the FRONT of her letters to adhere this chunky glitter. Doesn't it look like a fresh snow fall?

3. Color images with liquid adhesive and sprinkled glitter.
Practical Scrapper Brenda stamped the flower and leaf images, then "painted" inside the image with liquid adhesive (Zig glue pen) and sprinkled glitter over them to cover.  Once the glitter was dry, the images were cut out and adhered to the card.

4.  Let glitter dry between colors to create stunning layers
Practical Scrapper Alumni Gladys Chia created her butterfly using a variety of colors from Martha Stewart's glitter line.

5. Create two tone borders, frames, or titles.
Practical Scrapper Erin created her frame and two tone title using glue, and loose Stix II glitter.

6.  Cover chipboard using a combination of inks and glitters.
Practical Scrapper Alumni Tanya Rudd covered her chipboard first with ink and then matched it up with glitter.  She used diamond glaze to apply her glitter.

7. Create epoxy like letters
Practical Scrapper Alumni Jessica Stott applied glitter to her stickers using adhesive.  She then topped off her glittered up letters with diamond glaze to create an epoxy look.

8. Make your own glitter glue dots.
Practical Scrapper Erin can show you how to make your own glitter glue dots using this tutorial.

9. Use double sided tape and glitter to create a unique border
Practical Scrapper Alumni Amy Heller used this simple and clean technique to add glitter in a unique way.

1O. Completely cover an area using double sided tape and die cuts.
Practical Scrapper Alumni Sandra Farrell created a Glitter Ritz tutorial showing how she did this neat technique!

Great ideas! I love to use glitter, I know a lot of people cringe at the thought, but I love it! Here are a couple cards I did using glitter a while back.
