1O Things You Can Do With: Vellum

Vellum can be such a challenge to use but when used it always adds a classy and sophisticated touch to any layout.  We are back today with a list of ten things to try with vellum, check it out and see what creativity inspires you.
1. Create flowers using vellum
Practical Scrapper Lynn used vellum to make her flowers on this layout.
Also using her slice machine, she cut out butterflies and added them to her layout.

2. Use vellum and punches together to create frames
Practical Scrapper Charity used vellum and punches to make frames for her photos.
This layout inspired by a sketch from Kristy Lee.

3.  Create an envelope to use for your journaling
4. Use vellum to mat your photographs
Practical Scrapper Patty used a paper piercing technique to embellish the vellum that is used as a mat for her photo.  She also used a vellum envelope to hold her journaling.

5. Dry emboss your vellum
Practical Scrapper Kenya did a dry emboss technique on vellum. It adds texture to a project and can also tone down a busy pattern. She also embossed the sentiment on vellum.

6. Create "faux" washi tape
Practical Scrapper Sarah printed on vellum, cut into strips and tore the ends to create "faux" washi tape.

7. Print a picture on vellum
Practical Scrapper Lanette printed her picture on vellum, to add a soft touch to her layout.

Layout inspired by a sketch from Kim Keane created for My Creative Scrapbook.

8. Stamp on vellum
Practical Scrapper Danielle used Staz On Ink to stamp the image of the butterfly onto vellum.

9. Heat emboss and color on vellum to create a stained glass look
Practical Scrapper Alison created the look of stained glass by stamping with Versamark onto vellum, heat embossing it with black embossing powder and then colouring it from the back side using Stampin' Write markers. To create the soft, merging colours, she used her blender pen.

1O. Use a border punch on vellum
Practical Scrapper Christine used a border punch on vellum to create a subtle additional layer on her layout.
