Happy Third Anniversary Practical Scrappers! Giveaway Alert!!!

It's our third anniversary!  Hard to believe that we have been at this for that long.  We seen lots of format changes and design team members come and go, but we hope that the inspiration has remained consistent!  For the next few days we will be highlighting three favorite projects from members of our team...kind of a trip down memory lane of sorts!  To kick things off we are starting with the administrative team here today.  The three of us put in a lot of time here because we love to craft and love to share brilliant inspiration from across this industry.  Check out these projects and find out how you can get in on a special giveaway!

Christine
Christine is the site owner and has loved every minute here!  Some of her favorites are from our frugal finds feature!  She's a busy mom to three anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby number four!  She currently designs for Momenta and Quick Quotes!

Another card from a frugal finds feature on Christmas decor.

I shared this one on our second anniversary too, I still love it though!

I went back and looked at three years of projects on my computer, and oh my goodness how do you choose three favorites-- There have been 357 post on this board since we had our two year celebration!!  As I went back through my work, I noticed a trend-- my favorites are when I am challenged and get to work with the atypical scrapbooking supplies. Which is why my favorite addition to our blog since our last anniversary celebration, and where two of my three favorite projects come from is our Frugal Finds Feature.

This one was featured in our Frugal Finds: Bobby Pins edition.  I used my bobby pins as journaling lines after I painted them with acrylic white paint.

Even though this one is simple without a lot of elements, I was thrilled with this layout after I got the idea behind the kids holding a lolli-pop from a Parent's Magazine valentine article.

This last one is just happens to be my second favorite thing to create beside mini albums--SHAKER CARDS.  I love shaker cards!!  Maybe that's because I was one of the those annoying kids anytime I went to a birthday party, I always filled the card with the confetti.  When you opened it, it went everywhere.  My friends should be happy now that at least with my creativity I've found a way to keep the confetti in and save them a clean-up :)

When I began working with Practical Scrappers I loved the idea of challenges to use up things we already had on hand. I think I was initiated with scraps, and office supplies as a reader, then with lace cardstock as my first design team challenge item. Week after week, I was amazed at what a simple product challenge could inspire. Christine and Kerri and I continued to challenge each other with frugal finds after our format change, and although at times we've all been less than enthusiastic about a challenge item, these have turned out to be my favorite challenges by far!
