A frame and a candlestick!

Do you ever make your way over to the wood crafts in your local craft store?  I always find awesome wood items to alter.  I have seen tons of projects with a wooden candle stick holding a mason jar or a wooden block. With Halloween fast approaching I have even seen sculls and other scary props glued to the candle stick.   I decided to alter a boring old wooden candle stick by attaching another wood item, a shadow box picture frame.

What a quick craft.  I used Gorilla glue to secure the frame to the top of the candle stick. (after I painted)    I used Martha Stewart Poodle Skirt Acrylic paint to make it pretty!  Added some tulle and a set of Chipboard stickers from Crate paper, a few odds and ends inside the shadow box, and there you have it... an easy project you can recreate using up some of your scrapbooking supplies and a few wood items.

I have heard that some dollar stores sell the wooden candle sticks but I have yet to find them in my stores.

Great job with this project. I love altering, but just don't seem to find the time to do it. Maybe I should make some time with Christmas coming up and all. TFS!
