Storage Ideas

We can all use some fresh, inspiring ideas on how to store our scrapping goodies and today our team is back to share just a few of them with you!

Practical Scrapper Patty started with this boring set of drawers.  She thought is was perfect for all of her writing implements and tiny embellishments but could not stand looking at it!

This is much more inspiring!

Practical Scrapper Charity spotted this mail organizer at a second-hand store and snapped it up. It is the perfect place to store acrylic stamps and the drawer is SO handy for blocks, sponges, and daubers.

Practical Scrapper Linda wanted to find a way to store her recent layouts so that they were visible instead of putting them into a folder straight away after making them. She discovered the magnetic photo holders where there is a cable with a pack of small (but strong) magnets. Having two of them side by side makes a great layout display - it is very easy to change new layouts on, there is no mess with blue tack or tape. The photo cables can be found from for example from Amazon.

Practical Scrapper Kelly wanted a way to store all of her packaged embellishments, clear stamps, and Thickers so they were not "out of sight, out of mind."  So, she had her hubby install some simple cafe curtain rods (from Menards).  She then purchased some shower curtain hooks (from Menards) to hang everything.  Voila!  The perfect place to hang all those goodies and still remember what she has!

Practical Scrapper Kelly also found this foam cylinder at a thrift store, which was perfect to hold her scraps of ribbon.  She used a few push pins to keep the ribbon in place.

Practical Scrapper Kim had to find a way to get her scraps organized so that she would actually USE them!  Do you know the feeling?!  Well she found a perfect solution!  These drawers measure about 9" x 12" and are just perfect for cardstock and patterned paper scraps.

She labeled all of the drawers with 1-3 colors: White/Cream/Kraft, Black/Brown, Patterned Paper, Red/Orange/Pink, Yellow/Green, Blue/Purple.

Here is what the Blue/Purple drawer looks like.  She tries not to save scraps that are smaller then 2x2 inches square!  Soemtimes you just have to let them go!
