Kerri used Versa Magic black chalking ink and inked up her Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder with it. She put her cardstock in the folder and ran it through my Cuttlebug. She loves this effect as opposed to inking after you emboss because it leaves the embossing "un-inked" and just inks the negative space in between the embossed image which creates a great backgound. She also used Red Versa Magic chalking ink on the heart flocked paper and around the white background paper to add some dimension.
Barb used Tim Holtz’ Distress Ink to turn light brown Bazzill Basics cardstock into aged leather-like tags and photo mat. She then stamped the tags with pirate images using Stazon ink to give them a “branded” look. She also distressed the edges of her background patterned paper and the torn and shredded burlap paper. After cutting the skull and cross-bone die cuts with her Cricut, she coated them with distress crackle paint then rubbed distress ink on them to give the cracks more definition.
Sherri used 4 different shades of brown ink to create faux burnt edges on a piece of music I printed out on plain ivory paper.
Amy chalked and inked pretty much everything on this layout. She used brown chalk made by Color Box and a brown pen made by Martha Stewart.
Nadya used chalk to make a back ground for the flower. She started of with white cardstock and applied yellow, green and blue chalk a little at a time with a sponge.

You ladies have outdone yourself this week! I am blown away by the talent on this design team. You have taken great layouts and cards and sent them through the roof by adding tons of dimension, colour, texture, and character with a little bit (okay maybe alot) of chalk/ink. Way to go ladies!
Wow that inking is awesome, I love every one of these gorgeous designs.
Way to go ladies!!! :) Awesome projects! :)

Kerri's technique is fantastic! I can't wait to try that with swiss dots or just about anything else! I might go try that right now!
