Thursday's Border Punch and Decorative Scissors Projects

Erin used decorative edge scissors to trim the edges of the layered heart shapes she cut using her Cricut. She also used a Martha Stewart edge punch and distress ink to create the border on the green paper.

Karen used one of her border punches for the piece of matting. She stamped the flower image, as well as the Thank you sentiment. The butterfly is from a Creative Memories punch and she accented it with small pearls for the body. It is adhered with a pop dot to help make it stand out off the page.

Pia used an old pair of Decorative Scissors that she found in her dear son´s scrapbook stash! She cut the edges of the photos with it and the photos almost looks like postal stamps.

For this layout based on a sketch by Jana Eubank, Lisa used a pair of old "ripple" decorative Fiskar scissors to cut around her circle and then two border punches by Stampin' Up to frame her pictures.

Wanting to go a little simpler this week, Pam choose a black and white theme to showcase this week’s challenge item: Border Punches. She used one of her FAVORITE borders, EK Success Scalloped Edger Punch, to create the detailing behind the sentiment. This strong graphic element helps to ground and balance all of the white on this card and provides a space for a little bling.

Tanya took out her very dusty "Castle" decorative edged scissors and used them to make the fancy edge along the outside of her blue design paper. She also used them to create an edged band where the button is instead of using ribbon, and a scalloped looking border on the base of the burgundy cardstock.
