Thrifty Storage Ideas

I, like most people, scrapbook on a limited budget and very limited time allotment.  So when I organize I need it to make things easy.  After creating a few organizational tools and finding some deals at garage sales I'm nearly satisified with how my room is set up!  Here's some of my ideas, I've written info onto the pictures. Everything that you see for storage has been bought for $1O or less!  I always go into a yard sale looking for something new to add to my organization stash.  I figure if that stuff costs less, there's more to spend on the actual creating!

To make my letter sticker storage:
I used curtain rods that cost $1, drapery hooks that were 8 for $1, and paper clips.  I slid the paper clips onto the drapery hooks and hung the stickers on there.  It works great except for really heavy letter stickers.  I organized each section into a manner that worked for me.  If you'd like more detailed pics of how I put it together, leave me a comment and I'll be happy to email you!

What are your thrifty storage ideas...I'm always looking for advice and fresh ideas!  Share links or ideas with me here or at practicalscrappersideas@gmail.com and you may just get them featured here!

I have to share the "aha" moment I got from your post. I have my Cricut on an old wooden microwave stand and I have three hooks on one side where I hang the backs of my Cricut cartridge boxes that I've attached to jump rings(so I can thumb through them to see what I have). There are three hooks, but I've only been using two of them. It NEVER occurred to me to hang the Cricut mats there - I had them laying beside the Cricut taking up valuable space on the top of the microwave cart! I just stopped in the middle of reading your post and hung them from the extra hook - PERFECT!! I laughed outloud that I hadn't thought of it before. Thanks for the inspiration! Now . . . what do I want to use that extra space for?

I have been searching for something to store my CTMH stamp sets in and seems everything is just a little too small as they are just a little bigger than a CD case. I will be going to Walmart ASAP to see if I can find some of those plastic crates!

All great ideas, Christine. Love how you have your ribbon spools on ribbon streamers. Decorative and useful.

I had an "aha" moment about the Cricut mats too! It never occurred to me to hang them- duh! I have a tall set of lockers with nothing hanging on the sides and the Cricut mats taking up valuable desk drawer space. Thank you!
