Pocket watch tree ornament

When I saw this Tim Holtz pocket watch I knew I had to make something with it! I don't often stray from layouts and the odd card, but this project was so quick and fun, I couldn't help myself. I started by cutting a piece of self adhesive cork to fit the inside of the watch, then I painted it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam, and some Distress ink.  I punched several branches from pieces of green patterned paper and plain cardstock using a Martha Stewart punch.  I layered the punched shapes, my photo and mini Maya road frame which I coloured gold using an Elmer's Painters paint marker. I then added some red berries with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen, and for a bit more sparkle,  I added a few dabs of Picket Fence Distress Stickles and some iridescent seed beads.

Originally I made this as a Christmas gift, but now I'll have to make more so that I can keep one!
