This week we wanted to see projects using pentagons, hexagons and other shapes with more than 5 sides (technically stars count too). Hexagons and honeycomb patterns seem to be a hot trend this year, and it's easy to see why! They can be used as traditionally as grandma's quilt pattern, or as boldly as a traffic sign.
Check out the interest these shapes create on the projects below!
( read to the end of the post for our next challenge!)
Practical Scrapper Erin cut octagons and mats from Cosmo Cricket's 2wenty Thr3e line, using dies from Lifestyle Crafts.

Practical Scrapper Kerri used the Creative Memories Cutting System and Crate Paper to cut her hexagons, and added some textural detail to them with an embossing folder.
What's your favorite product using hexagons, or similar shapes, your favorite way to create yours?
**In honor of the new CHA releases starting to arrive now in stores, our next challenge is for you to combine something old and something new on your projects. Use one of your newest purchases ( new for you- it doesn't have to be a new release), and something you've had for a really long time, on a project. Send us a link to your project with "CMT: Old and New" in the subject line for your chance to have your project featured here next Tuesday. Please include what your old and new items are, along with a link to your personal blog if you'd like us to link back to it in our post.
Happy Tuesday!
