Making a Mini-Album with 6x6 Paper

Happy Thursday everyone!  Practical Scrapper Krissy Clark McKee here with an easy, fun little mini-album that I want to show you how to make using 6x6 paper.  Recently, I was flipping through a paper pack that I had received in the mail, wondering what I could do with it that wasn't the same old thing.  I didn't want to use a store-bought chipboard album.  I also knew that I wanted pockets of some sort.  So this is what I came up with...

I simply scored two pieces of paper, each at the 4 inch mark.  I then folded each piece of paper over at the scored line to make a flap.  Next, I placed the two pieces of paper back-to-back (with the folded flaps on the outside) and machine stitched three sides - the top, the bottom, and the side without the folded flaps.  This created a small pocket on the front and back, and a side pocket between the two pieces of paper, perfect to place tags in.  Want to see how I did it?  Here's a video!

Here's the cover I made for my handmade mini-album:

I simply took a piece of cardboard and cut it down to two pieces that each measured approximately 4.25 x 6.5 inches.  I painted them white, misted them, and decorated.  Finally, I hole-punched so I could add rings to bind everything together.

And this is how my pages and tags turned out.

These 3.5 x 5.5 inch tags are perfect for pictures, journaling - or both!  I used my Silhouette to cut mine, but you could use pre-made tags, handmade tags, small cards - whatever you can think of!

That's it for today.  I hope you have enjoyed this project, and it has inspired you to create your own handmade mini-album!
