Happy Pinning!

It's not what you think...today we're talking about using pins on your pages and cards, not about Pinterest. Since there is an enormous crossover of sewing notions into the scrapbook world, it's only logical that decorative pins would find a way onto our paper based creations. You can find a huge selection of pins available on the market today, or you can get creative and easily create your own. Pins might seem intimidating, but really, you can easily tuck one in just about anywhere you want a bit of interest. Weave them through ribbon, stick them into felt, flowers, or a bit of foam hiding behind a die cut or raised element. They take up very little room, and make a subtle statement.

I love the banner pins from Bella Blvd.  Practical Scrapper Mary Pat Siehl

Practical Scrapper Jayma used pins from Close to my Heart

Practical Scrapper Charity wrapped pins with twine and layered them with die-cuts.
This page inspired by a Creative Scrappers Sketch.

Practical Scrapper Julie did handmade pins for her card.

Practical Scrapper Kenya used stick pins as chopsticks in this Asian inspired design.

Practical Scrapper Karen used 2 leaf tipped pins inserted in an organza bow and also a gold clothespin to hold a small tag.

Amy used pins to create fun page elements and has a great tip on how to attach your pins on her blog.

So pin away fellow scrappers- on your own projects, or feel free to go ahead and pin any of these lovely creations on Pinterest as well!

**Designer projects are not always linked in our posts, but you can always find their blogs in our sidebar or in the staff tab**
