9 Things You Can Do With: A Scoring Board

If you don't yet own a scoring board, and wonder why these are a must have tool for card makers as well as scrapbookers, look no further. If you own one, but seem to only dust it off to score your cards, please read on. Our designers are here to show you what a score board can really do.

1. Make Chevrons
Practical Christa used her score board and created these chevrons that she learned from mentor

2. Make a page turner of a mini album
Practical Scrapper Kerri used her scoring board to create this Flip Flop Mini album pages and tag holders.

3. Create your own rosettes
Practical Scrapper Lanette used her scoring board to make this rosette for her cheerful card.

4. Create custom embossed cardstock for a layout (as a grid)
Practical Scrapper Kimberly Congdon used her Scor-Pal  to make patterned paper out of blue card-stock.  After sanding it down to add some white core the boring card-stock now has a new life~

5. Create a custom background for cards (on the diagonal)
Amy used her scoring board to add a textured background to her cards and card box (which was cut with the Artiste Cricut cartridge)

6. Make your own envelopes
Practical Scrapper Kerri used her scoring board to create these mini 3 3/4" envelopes for her 3 1/2" note cards.  For her measurements, you can find them on her blog.

7. Make a box
Practical Scrapper Shir Benovich used her scoring board to create exploding box for the Jewish Calendar new year.

 8. Crimp paper for embellishments
Practical Scrapper Erin made her cupcake liner by scoring alternating sides of her paper and accordion folding.

9. Add dimension to die cuts
Practical Scrapper Erin used a score board to add dimensional lines to one of the die cut frames on her page.

Happy Tuesday!
