Sewing Notions Projects

We call ourselves scrapbookers or cardmakers, but we all tend to dabble in other crafting areas...painting, drawing, sewing to name a few.  We have the supplies on hand  and there's nothing more fun than crossing and mixing two or more hobbies.  Take a look at how our designers used different sewing notions (from tape measurers to straight pins) on their projects today.

Practical Scrapper Wendi Robinson used the older sewing themed line from Cosmo Cricket, dressed up the sewing manniquin with a ribbon trim skirt, and added twine to the spool and needle, along with ribbon pleating the measuring tape paper.

Practical Scrapper Audrey Yeager did this layout on a piece of canvas about her sewing machine.  She used wads of thread and tiny spools on her page.

Practical Scrapper Patty used colorful straight pins, a bobbin, a needle threader and thread to bring this friendship card to life.

Practical Scrapper Kenya used her Cricut Imagine (Heirloom), Graphic 45 (A Ladies Diary) and DCWV's Heirloom for all of the pattern papers, measuring tape and stitching. She also used the sewing machine and scissor charms from her stash to embellish this "Sew Fun" card.

Practical Scrapper Kerri used 144 dress maker straight pins to attach all of her curled paper to a styrofoam wreath to create this fun holiday wreath.
