9 Things You Can Do With: Flower Punches

As a mom of three boys, I don't own that many flower punches. The ones I do own, surprisingly see quite a bit of use. As the examples today will show, there is definitely more than one way to use a flower punch.

1. See them with different eyes.
Practical Scrapper Liz used flower punches to make interesting eyes on her owl card.

2. Cut into it
Practical Scrapper Alison used her flower punch along with a matching stamp to create a butterfly. See her blog for a step by step look at this process.

 3. Add detail.
Practical Scrapper Erin layered her die cut and punched flowers after giving them a bit of colour with markers, and dimension with a stylus.

4. Bring them to new heights.
Practical Scrapper Lanette used a Flower Punch to make this 3D Rose.
5. Make them masculine.
Practical Scrapper Erin added a flower punched out of self adhesive cork to her arrangement of gears and stars, for a look that's still all-boy.

6. Look right through them.
Practical Scrapper Amy used punched out three flower punches and used the negative space to make a panel on a card front.

 7. Make something spring to life.
Practical Scrapper Erin covered her tree branches with tiny punched flowers for a different take on the usual foliage.

8. Make Confetti.
Practical Scrapper Erin added small punched flower shapes and hearts to her layout by trapping them under a layer of transparent tape.

9. Stamp on them.
Practical Scrapper Jayma layered her stamped flowers and curled the edges for dimension.

What are your fun uses for punches?

What great ideas y'all have for us today! One of my favorite uses for a punch isn't a flower punch, but a cupcake punch. I think the one we have at the studio is Stampin' Up. I use the top part, the 'frosting' as a mask to make clouds. Punch it out, use removable adhesive, ink, chalk or mist over it, remove the mask and you have a cute cloud in the sky.
Here's one of the cards I made using this technique http://www.kristiekreates.blogspot.com/2012/09/track-star.html

I love Erin's tree covered with Prima flowers-I have so many of those, I need to lift that idea!
