10 Things You Can do WIth Dimensional Adhesive

Adhesive is important. It may be tempting to use cheap adhesive when you first start scrapbooking, but as your layouts start to fall apart in your albums, you can't get a specific type of embellishment to stick, or your liquid adhesive is seeping through your ribbon, you soon realize that having the right glue is really as important a part of the process as the pretty papers and embellishments you choose.

Today, our designers are focusing on creative and traditional uses for dimensional adhesives. If you've got them, we'll show you what to do with them, if you don't own any, you'll quickly see why maybe you should.

 1. Build a wall.
Practical Scrapper Charity inked and cut Foam Adhesive to make a brick wall.
Check her blog for a quick how-to.

2. Make them shine.
Practical Scrapper Patty used foam adhesive dots and glitter to create the dimensional photo corners and dots to accent some of the letters in the title of this layout.

3. Lift and tuck.
Practical Scrapper Erin lifted her frame off the page using Helmar Liquid Scrapdots. She then tucked one corner of her photo under it, and supported the other corners  at varying heights using more Liquid Scrapdots

4. Layer your stickers.
Practical Scrapper Donna popped up photo corners and stickers.
5. Bring life to your critters.
Practical Scrapper Liz created dimensional turkey place cards as well as using the round foam adhesives as the turkey's eyes.

6. Pop a picture.
Practical Scrappers Julie used 3D Foams under her picture to give some dimension to her page.

7. Set off a stamp
Practical Scrapper Amy used foam adhesive to pop stamped images. Both acorns and the sentiment are all popped up.

 8. Create a nook (or two)
Practical Scrapper Erin used Helmar Zapdots to layer her pleated strips of paper and her title letters.
She was then able to nestle bits off twine and embellishments into the folds.

9. Flock the line.
Practical Scrapper Kerri cut 1/8" strips of foam adhesive from her roll and covered exposed sticky side with some orange flocking.  She then lined her sections of her pumpkins with the flocked strips. This would also be a great to use with glitter!

 10. Pin it
Practical Scrapper Erin used her foam adhesive to add dimension to stickers, photos and diecuts on this page, but she also used one behind her photo to safely anchor a decorative pin.
