Hello everyone! I'm so happy to be here today to share a little
something with you! I don't know about you, but I have been amazed by
the recent posts by my fellow design team members. They came up with
such wonderful projects to celebrate this wonderful time of the year,
and I am definitely taking notes!
My favorite thing
about Christmas time is definitely the happiness that surrounds me. It
seems that everyone can wind down, relax, and just enjoy the time spent
together. I love having my kids home from school and my husband home
from work. I love going out sledding and coming back to have hot cocoa.
For me, it's all about the little things that I get to do with my
family.
This is what this layout is all about. That
evening, I asked my kids if they wanted to make cookies. The answer was
a resounding "Yes!" and so we got to work. I measured everything for
them and they took care of the rest. It was such a happy time. I never
want to forget about that.
I
used the Joyride Christmas collection by CCollage Press that is
actually from last year. It's important to me to use up my stash. I
loved the papers when I bought them, why shouldn't I use them even
though they are "old"?
A few tags here and there make
the layout look current. I'm a huge fan of tags as embellishments. I
love to use them to write down dates, short journaling, or even as-is as
a simple decoration. Just pop-dot a few and it can easily transform
your page.
I
also used Glimmer Mist to splatter the background and to colour some
wooden snowflakes by Studio Calico. I left some bare because I liked the
look!
Hopefully this can inspire you to focus on the little things this Christmas season. Then go ahead and celebrate them!
Happy holidays everyone,
Claude

Beautiful page and great reminder!
Love the color combination you used and really like this layout - I'm a big fan of tags, too!
