Turkey...3 Ways

Hello everyone,  Audrey Yeager here!  I recently had the opportunity to design my own scrapbook kit available for purchase at Paper Issues. The November FITKit is on sale in the Paper Issues shop NOW! You can use the code AUDREY to receive 20% of your entire purchase.

I designed this kit with the fall and Thanksgiving in mind, but I am not much of a "theme" paper person, so I made sure to choose products that could be used for anything.  However, when I got my kit, I realized that there were some great ways I could make some turkeys!

Do you see those cute little elongated hexagon stickers?  There are three different sizes and I arranged them in a spread to make this little guys tail feathers! The body and head are just some circles covered with washi tape and the wings are cut from the red patterned paper in the top of the kit photo.  The eyes, beak and wattle are just hand cut!

This next guy I made using the Chunky Chevron stencil from the kit!  I misted through the stencil with some brown, yellow, and orange mists, then I cut each chevron section out.  Again, the body and head are circles that I stamped with brown ink through my "Blazonry" stencil onto kraft Cardstock and the wings are a heart stencil pattern that I cut in half.

Lastly, I used some of the patterned paper in the kit from Studio Calico to create this guy!  The tail feathers are from the paper with the pie charts and the body is made from another pieces of the Studio Calico paper.

So what am I going to do with these guys?  I think the sticker one would be cute on a thank you card!  If you are going to someones house for Thanksgiving, its appropriate to send them a card to say thanks, don't you think?  And the stencil one?  Well he might just decorate our walls or fridge for now.

And since there are so many of the circles on the patterned paper that I used to create the last guy, I thought it would be great to make a whole bunch and use them as our place settings for Thanksgiving!

I simply wrapped a ring from a paper towel tube with some washi tape....

...and added the turkey to the front.  You could place a little name tag on him with each persons name at the dinner table and then put napkins in them!  :)

So there you have it!  Turkey...3 ways.

Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!
