Fabric has come a long way from it's early days. But it still can be used to make beautiful accents in so many different ways. We've got 10 of them here for you to view.
1. Ruffle It
Practical Scrapper Lisa frayed the edges of her fabric and used it as a background for her card. She also used strips of fabric to create ruffles around a large glue dot to create some of the layers of her flower.
2. Layer It
Practical Scrapper Linda used little scraps of leftover fabric from a quilting project to make bunting. She attached it on the layout by machine stitching.
3. Wrap It
Practical Scrapper Sarah used strips of knit jersey to stretch and wrap around the edges and cut out of her card to create and fun, striped design.
4. Back It
Practical Scrapper Charity used this fun cow-hide fabric to back the stars on her cowboy themed greeting.
5. Mat It
Practical Scrapper Kenya used adhesive backed fabric paper by DCWV. She layered two designs as the mat of the card.
6. Distress It
Practical Scrapper Lanette used fabric to make some shabby flowers to dress up her layout
7. Use Plaid
Practical Scrapper Leslii used a strip of scrap fabric and created a ruffle affect by sewing it along the edge of her layout.
8. Use Netting
Practical Scrapper Karen used netting to provide a subtle gathered layer of fabric on the bottom half of her layout.
9. Use Canvas
Practical Scrapper Brenda used her printer to print her sentiment on a canvas die cut and then mounted it onto cork board
10. Put It All Together
Practical Scrapper Charity used ribbon to make the Flowers on this layout, Netting to accent the gems, and lace as a Layer under her circle of roses.
Hope we've sparked some creative genius! If you've got a fabric project to share we've got a facebook page waiting for it. Post away!!!
