Challenge Me Tuesday: 2011 Trends

** Continue reading to the end for next week's challenge!

Last week we presented the first challenge for the 2012; a look back at the trends of 2011. Recurring trends like misting, twine and banners. There were so many fun trends and techniques, this one was really open to interpretation! We showed you some examples from our great design team last week, and here are a few more responses to the challenge:

I basically emptied my odds and ends on this, including trends like mist, washi tape, cork and pins.

Mary used banners, twine and mist

Charity used a banner, twine, mist and a rainbow on her sweet New Year card.

Carolina's page features chevrons, twine, and Smash Book embellies along with a great way to photograph the new year!

I loved seeing everyone's take on the "hot" trends of 2011. Any predictions of what type of trends we might see emerge 2012?

**This week's next challenge is "Popping Paper". Create a project that features a unique way to give dimension to your paper. Ideas might include folding, rolling, scrunching, pop ups and layering. Send me your creations at practicalscrapperslayouts@gmail(dot)com, for a chance to be featured here!

Have a great rest of the week!
