Discovering Your Scrapbooking Style: Sophisticated

Continuing in our series on Scrapbooking styles, today we'll take a look at "Sophisticated Style."  Similar to "Artsy" there is usually a lot to these projects, but in a more classic style than the modern artsy.

Some of the characteristics you see in Sophisticated Style are:
Accents & Embellishments that are dressed up beyond their original form
Lots of Embellishing
Sewing & Stitching
Handmade Embellishments making for a one of a kind layout
Multiple Fonts
Journaling Cards
Patterned Papers used as ribbons, pleating,  and in flowers
Monochromatic Coloring
Flourishes
Stamping
Rich Colors
Ribbons
Glitter & Bling
Uses lots of current trends
Paperfolding techniques

Here's several examples for you of Sophisticated Layouts
Aymee works a lot in this style and was the first person that came to my mind as I was reviewing it.

With a love for creating my own embellishments, mixing up fonts, and pretty much everything else on the list; this is definitely one of my favorite styles to work in.

Jannike created the above two layouts

The more I look at the different styles, the more I am realizing which categories I fit into and hopefully by the end of this series you'll get an idea of where you fit too!  See ya tomorrow!

Thank you for featuring my layout! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the other pages! This is definitely my favorite type of style to work in and to admire when I'm blog hopping. Beautiful pages ladies! :)

I would like to be "sophisticated", but I suspect I am more clean and simple or classic. Will stay tuned for more. Maybe I will work on becoming "sophistacted"!

I just went through all the styles and I think I belong in all of them!!! Can that be true? I have created layouts in all those styles.
