I first got the idea from Big Picture Classes. It was a self-paced workshop called The Boo! Book. I thought it would be a great way to document our kids Hallowe'en costumes over the years so I bought the products for it, printed off the instructions, and then got side tracked with raising said kids! Well, this year (a full two years later!!) I cracked open the supplies and got busy. It will be a book that I can add to every year so I have extra pages ready to go and have kept the supplies I used in one place to keep the album looking contiguous.
The front cover.
Each double page spread is one year starting with 2004 and Marley's 1st Hallowe'en.
2005.
2006 was my second daughter Paige's 1st Hallowe'en and her turn to be a Lady bug!
2007 - we moved to a new house that Fall. One in a large neighbourhood with lots of children so the haul was the biggest yet!
2008 - the pictures on the left were taken when we went to see the Great Big Boo! and my only deviation from Hallowe'en night only photos.
2009 was Christine's 1st Hallowe'en and since the Ladybug costume had given up the ghost a few years prior, she got to be a Panda Bear instead.
2010 - the girls' cousins came back for the second year in a row. My nephew's birthday is on October 28th so in 2009 we held a birthday party for him on Hallowe'en night (must have been a weekend!) and let all the kids go out trick-or-treating together. Neither of the other families lived in very kid friendly neighbourhoods so coming out to us was like touring Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! Everyone liked it so much we did it again this year. The following year both families had moved into much more candy rich environments so we did our own thing again!
2011
Here's another shot of the album. It's just waiting for pictures of my Devil, Pirate Princess and Cowgirl!
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Hallowe'en!!
