Twineology:101

Hey there!  Laura here with ya one on one today with my favorite
embellishment....TWINE!!  It's trendy, it's hot, and no wonder,
because it's FUN!!  And guess what....I might just have some to
give away today too!!  Check at the bottom of this post after
you check this out:

This stacking box project is a great favor or decor for a wedding,
shower, anniversary, birthday....any occasion really!  And it gets
dressed up from a basic pink and brown cardstock and a simple
stacking box pattern by using simple techniques with twine.
(FYI--the box is just a square....vary the sizes to fit your needs,
and score at 1" to make the box sides).  And this particularly
yummy twine is from Trendy Twine--"Chocolate Cupcake"...
yep, like I said....yummy!...lol.

Here are the close ups of how I used the twine:

First, threaded thru pretty lace:

For the middle,  I used eyelets (and the holes in the punch) to lace
twine thru and then tie a bow....here's the close up of the "before":

On the top layer I simply threaded the twine thru the punch
and tied a simple bow:

Just a few simple examples of how much twine can add to a project...
it is my "go to" something, when I want to add some pizazz to any of
my crafting projects!

How do you use twine?  Or do you?  Let us know!!

And now we were talking a prize...and here's how you get a chance
to win this:

60 twine-o-licious yards of Trendy Twine!!  How do you get the chance,
you ask?  Just do this:

1.  Be or become a follower here at Practical Scrappers

2. Make your way over to the Trendy Twine Facebook Page
HERE, mention "Practical Scrappers sent me to say "hi" and
thank you!" and then LIKE Trendy Twine's Facebook Page.

Wow, how easy is that?  And I must say a huge THANK YOU to
Lesley from Trendy Twine for donating this fun prize!  Let's face it,
free is good, but free TWINE is better!!....lol.

Find some crafty time to get your twine on!!

Cloudy with a chance of Cards!

I love to use clouds as an embellishment on my cards and layouts.  Since it has been about a year since we last featured them, I thought it was time to share some projects with them again.  Today you'll get to see cards with fussy cut clouds, embellished clouds, and more....perfect for the cloudy days we often see in April!

Baby cards

We haven't featured baby projects in a while and we know what a great source of inspiration they can be.  If you don't have baby pages to scrapbook, you probably know someone you could make a baby card for.  If you would like to contribute a layout or other baby project to Wednesday's post...shoot us an email with a link or attachment at practicalscrapperlayouts@gmail.com!
